NEUROMUSCULAR
BODY
THERAPY
NBT is a detailed technique with which tensions can be specifically reprogrammed by pressure.
The reprogramming takes place via the central nervous system, which causes lasting tension reduction and thus pain relief.
After successfully relieving tension and pain, we work on further stretching and strengthening the muscles, tendons and ligaments and increasing their endurance.
This supports an upright posture, increases the mobility and strength of your joints and reduces future accumulation tension.
The basics of NBT are based on a detailed posture analysis and targeted treatment technique with which the causes of tension and the resulting tension pain can be explored and eliminated.
NBT reprograms these tensions, the posture of the body can realign itself, whereby the tissue can be further relieved and thus the pain is alleviated.
Following a treatment, I will show you exercises to strengthen and stretch your muscles, tailored to your posture.
NBT has its origins in Neuromuscular Therapy - St. John Method, which was developed by Paul St. John in America in the 1970s. This theory has been adopted as basic knowledge in the NBT.
The posture analysis and techniques have been further developed by Dove Ulf Mahnke over the past 14 years, resulting in a new form of therapy - NBT. NBT was taught to me by Dove.
Is NBT for me?
A few questions in advance:
How long have you been dealing with your symptoms?
Have X-ray, magnetic resonance or CT images been taken?

Have your posture and tension in the tissues ever been considered a cause of your symptoms?
What tests have doctors and / or therapists done for your symptoms?
Was it possible to explain your symptoms on the basis of the analysis of the examinations and pictures or has there not yet been an explanation for your symptoms?
Your complaints keep coming back and nothing has helped?
You will be asked these questions during your first treatment. The reason for this is that most studies focus on the functioning of the body. For example, in the case of migraines, images of the head and brain are made, looking for tumors, narrowed or enlarged blood vessels and the like. is looked. Structural changes and tension in tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue are very rarely considered as the cause of pain and disorders in the organism.
Since the examinations and the search for functional causes are usually already covered, we at NBT look for the structural causes of symptoms of all kinds. The most common symptoms are long-term pain conditions. The posture analysis of your body is the basis for a targeted treatment plan. After a posture analysis, in most cases it is very easy to see which tissues have shortened and which are overstretched. Long-term shortening and overstretching tensions are the cause of many tension pains that cannot be seen on any X-ray, nuclear spin or CT images.
Without a precise posture analysis, often only the pain (symptoms) are treated, which brings temporary relief. Tension pains are often found in the overstretched tissues. Treatment of these tissues brings some relaxation, but extends the fibers of the tissue even more. Without treating the shortened tissues on the opposite side of the body, it is very difficult to reprogram tension pain in the overstretched tissues. The posture analysis gives the NBT therapist the information they need to work out a targeted treatment plan for you. This not only solves local tension pains, but also supports the necessary structural changes in the body.
